Who We Are and What We Do
At End Rape on Campus (EROC), we envision a world in which all individuals have educational experiences free from violence, and until then, that all survivors are believed, trusted, and supported. To achieve this, EROC is a sexual violence advocacy organization that works to end campus sexual violence through three pillars: direct support for survivors and their communities; prevention through education; and policy reform at the campus, state, and federal levels.
We do so through several tactics and programs, including but not limited to: helping make resources for survivors and their loved ones more accessible; helping survivors understand their rights under applicable civil rights law, and assisting them in holding their campuses accountable when student rights are violated; serving as a watchdog for Title IX violations; run national campaigns and help students replicate said campaigns at the local and campus levels in areas of rapid response, policy advocacy and educational efforts; do speaking engagements and workshops on campuses around the country; and advocate for survivor-centric policy reform at the local and national levels.
Who We're Looking For
After a few years of functioning as a scrappy, startup nonprofit, we have reached a new level and are currently in a high-growth stage. We are seeking to bolster and improve our systems of operation, continue to add internal infrastructures, and take EROC to the next level in how it functions. If you are comfortable with ambiguity, thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and many moving pieces, and are excited to try and implement new things at work while impeccably maintaining current responsibilities, this might be the team for you!
Our internal organizational culture is best suited for individuals who are able to radically lean into discomfort, direct communication, and personal responsibility and accountability. We curate an environment that supports self-care, boundaries, and suspended judgement of others and self. We believe in failing-forward and ask our team to take calculated risks, which are crucial to our past, present, and future. We believe in creating an environment that is healthily challenging in the above ways, but more importantly, where there is organizational and personal safety to rise to, and experiment with, those challenges. The professional development and personal wellbeing of our staff is paramount above all else, and we expect everyone in our organization to approach their relationships with their team and their work as such.
We are proud to be an organization that is run and led by survivors and young people. End Rape on Campus is committed to dismantling systems of oppression including but not limited to: racism, heteronormativity, cisgender supremacy, ableism, and xenophobia, with the understanding that members of historically underserved communities often face violence at the intersection of multiple identities. End Rape on Campus is an equal opportunity employer. Candidates from historically and currently underrepresented and underserved communities are especially encouraged to apply.
End Rape on Campus offers a competitive salary, benefits, and a monthly mental health stipend, given to encourage our staff to engage in self care and center their mental health. End Rape on Campus also provides extremely flexible, forward-thinking workplace policies and scheduling opportunities, including an unlimited work from home policy and four weeks of PTO annually, professional development opportunities, a partial travel stipend for transportation to work, and more.
If you are deeply committed to the eradication of sexual violence—in all, but especially educational settings—, hold and live out true social justice values, and are seeking a job that is both challenging and rewarding, please check back later for any updates on position openings and consider applying to join the EROC Team.
